The visunext Group is one of the largest and most important suppliers of home cinema and presentation technology in Western Europe. The group operates in various channels. 

The headquarters in Emsdetten, Münsterland, is the seat of visunext SE. In addition to sales for Germany and Austria, the logistics and other back-office functions for the domestic and foreign sister companies and subsidiaries are also carried out from there. These are located in England, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, Spain, Poland as well as the USA and Hong Kong. 

Another important part of the group is celexon. This is responsible for the international production of accessories such as screens, mounting systems, signal management etc. as well as the sale of these products to distributors and specialised trade partners. 

Since the beginning, visunext has already served more than 800,000 customers in more than 25 countries. Among them are many well-known global players such as Allianz, BMW, Bosch, Burger King, Daimler, Deutsche Lufthansa and many more.

Our history

From start-up to group of companies! The partners Matthias Hemesath (*1983) and Christoph Hertz (*1984) gained experience in e-commerce and the conception and implementation of online stores while still at school. Their first venture specialised in the marketing of Ex Demo projectors. At the beginning, the first company dealt with individual leasing returns, later with large remaining stocks of well-known manufacturers. The focus of the group is the marketing of media technology with solution competence and specialist trade values.

2023

visunext Group creates SE structure

In order to meet, among other things, the increasing Europeanisation of its business activities and the international requirements of customers, in January 2023 the parent company visunext International GmbH & Co. KG was transformed into visunext SE.

2022

Completion of the visunext Tower

After one and a half years of construction, the 20-metre-high visunext Tower is being built at the headquarters in Emsdetten, offering a flexible new-work environment with state-of-the-art media technology on 1,600 square metres.

2018/2019

Reorientation of the Group to the visunext Group

The celexon Group, which has been growing for 15 years, is preparing for the future and realigning itself as the visunext Group. The product focus is being expanded from projection technology to visual products. As part of this process, group companies with an end consumer focus will be renamed visunext. The parent company celexon Germany GmbH & Co. KG also changes its name. This creates the new umbrella company visunext International GmbH & Co. KG IS FORMED. At the same time, the B2B business is spun off into the newly founded celexon Europe GmbH. The projector shops are gradually transformed into visunext.

2017

Logistics area more than doubled by extension

With a further extension of over 6,000 m², the group expands its logistics floor space to over 11,000 m².

2016

Expansion into the USA and Hong Kong

Foundation of celexon US. Inc. based in New York and celexon Hong Kong Ltd. In addition, the two portals Edu.de and Heimkino.de are launched. 

Edu.de as a solution provider for setting up kindergartens, schools and universities; Heimkino.de as an end customer portal for professional home cinema. Projektor Deutschlandvertriebs AG is renamed Projektor AG.

2015

Headquarters extension and DELUXX acquisition

Acquisition of the quality brand DELUXX, which is known for high-quality home cinema and presentation screens as well as projector mounts. The acquisition strengthens the group's leading role in the projection and presentation segment in Germany. In addition, the group expands its headquarters in Emsdetten by 3000 m² with office and logistics space.

2014

Projektor AG

Acquisition of the Cologne-based AV specialist, Projektor AG, with the online shops projector-Discount.de and Projektor-AG.de. Following the asset deal carried out in April 2014, the acquired company initially traded as Projektor Deutschlandvertriebs AG, and later as Projektor AG again.

2014

Change of name of the companies

Foundation of celexon Holding GmbH and celexon International Holding GmbH and renaming of celexon GmbH & Co. KG into celexon Germany GmbH & Co. KG. The foreign companies are grouped under the umbrella of celexon International Holding GmbH.

2012

Expansion to Italy and Austria

Proiettore24.it started to serve the Italian market. In Austria, projectorshop24.at was launched. As with previous expansions, two local companies were again founded for this purpose.

2011

Expansion to Spain and Poland

Proyector24.es started in Spain and Videoprojektor24.pl in Poland. The stores are each operated by local companies.

2010

Expansion to Sweden

Another company was established to serve customers in Sweden through Projektorshop24.se.

2009

Expansion to France and UK

In France and England, two companies are starting up with Videoprojecteur24.fr and Projectorshop24.co.uk.

2008

New headquarters and expansion into the Netherlands

The strong growth made a move unavoidable. A new warehouse and office building was built at Gutenbergstraße 2 in Emsdetten with a total floor space of 2,400 m². At the same time, the first sister company in the Netherlands is launched.

2005

Growth and relocation

The first permanent full-time employees were hired. The team moved into a rented office building with an attached warehouse.

2004

First brand / First online portal

The portal projectorshop24.de, forerunner of visunext.de, was launched. In parallel, the celexon brand was created for the production of screens and presentation accessories.

2003

Foundation of the first company

Immediately after graduating from high school, Matthias Hemesath and Christoph Hertz founded their first company to pursue their business idea. Today, this company operates as visunext International GmbH & Co. KG and forms the parent company for various sister companies and subsidiaries.

celexon is responsible for the manufacture of more than 700 projector accessory products for the AV market, with a focus on projector screens and mounts. We supply a number of distributors, specialist retailers and online shops.
DELUXX produces screens and projector mounts of the highest quality, which are available from specialist dealers.
Projektor AG offers a network of specialists for AV solutions. This network includes a number of specialist dealers throughout Germany. They are subject to strict quality controls and offer high-quality, competent home cinema and business advice on site with excellent presentation facilities.
Heimkino.de is aimed at the end consumer and offers everything needed for a professional home cinema set-up with high-quality speakers, AV receivers, projectors and hi-fi accessories. Customers are supported with competent advice and service.
Beamer-Discount is the online end-customer portal of Projektor AG and, as a solution provider with a focus on home cinema, uses a multi-channel approach to connect the AG's stationary partners (and their Germany-wide presentation rooms) with online business.
