Wireless projectors

Projectors with Wi-Fi are becoming increasingly popular. This is not least due to the fact that more and more WiFi projectors can be fed with contentwirelessly from a smartphone or tablet. However, not all wireless projectors are the same. The biggest difference between projectors is how the wireless connection is implemented.

The optimal Wi-Fi beamer offers a permanently installed WLAN interface. This means that no one can remove a Wi-Fi dongle and render the projector useless in terms of WiFi. Here we can speak of a projector with Wi-Fi.

The second variant of a Wi-Fi projector works with an optional Wi-Fi interface, which is usually available as an optional USB Wi-Fi dongle. If you do not need a Wi-Fi function, you do not automatically pay for it. In this case, we are talking about a projector with optional Wi-Fi.

A third variant, also a Wi-Fi option, are wireless adapters based on HDMI. They are connected to the projector via HDMI plug and supplied with power via mains, for example via USB, or via MHL (Mobile High Definition Link). In addition to a conventional Wi-Fi variant, they often offer further functions such as Miracast or DLNA.
