Our new Motor HomeCinema Plus tension projection screen for UST projectors is now available.

Equipped with our new ‘black grid CLR fabric’, a wide range of control options for optimal integration, and a special cable tensioning system perfectly tailored to our CLR fabric, our new projection screen ensures excellent flatness, vibrant images and deep blacks, even in ambient light and during the day.

When combined with a modern ultra-short throw projector, it becomes a true laser TV and thus an alternative to larger, traditional TV sets, which can visibly disrupt your interior design when not in use.

The key feature remains: when not in use, the projection screen disappears almost entirely from view, as it is installed at the top of your wall or ceiling and the projection screen fabric retracts electrically when not in use. This allows you to create a roll-up 92"-130” TV that is only fully visible when in use.

A dimensionally stable, extruded aluminium housing with flexibly positionable wall/ceiling mounting brackets allows for flexible and secure installation. celexon offers the projection screen in a white or black housing. This means the right housing colour is available for all lovers of the classic living room home cinema and for our home cinema enthusiasts with a dedicated home cinema room.

The projection screen’s controls are fully integrated into the housing. In addition to standard infrared, the projection screen can also be controlled via your switches using a potential-free signal if required. Furthermore, every projection screen comes with a wireless trigger set, allowing you to control the projection screen smartly directly via the power status of your projector. An extra-large worm gear winder rolls the screen fabric up and down completely in just a few turns. This reduces mechanical stress on the fabric, minimises the tendency for creasing and thus ensures the longest possible lifespan for your CLR fabric. Combined with celexon’s innovative, adjustable tension system, you’ll experience optimal flatness for perfectly straight images.

As UST projectors are positioned below the CLR screen and, due to their steep projection angle, can cause distracting glare or reflections on white counterweights, we have devised a special feature for the white version of our projection screen and partially painted the counterweight in two colours. The black-painted section effectively prevents glare and reflections, whilst the white section ensures a clean finish in the same colour as the housing when the screen is retracted – available exclusively on celexon’s CLR electric projection screens.

In addition to all the external and mechanical improvements, we have of course also dedicated our development efforts to our CLR high-contrast screen fabric. A newly developed microscopic light grid structure, manufactured using new production processes, produces images up to 20% brighter, delivers visibly more ‘punch’ and colour contrast, and is therefore even more suitable than ever before as a true TV replacement in your living room.

In doing so, we have significantly increased the number of specular-reflective slats on the screen, improved the coating on the upper sections of the slats – which absorb and deflect ambient light – and thus produce outstanding projection images in virtually all lighting conditions. Be inspired by celexon’s CLR ‘micron-scale black grid’ screens!

Even modern ultra-short-throw projection benefits from maximum image contrast and the deepest possible black level. For the “OLED” effect, a contrast screen such as those in the celexon CLR HomeCinema Plus series is essential, as it significantly improves the black level. In addition, distracting stray and residual light is minimised; ceiling light in particular can be reduced by up to 90%.

celexon’s black grid CLR high-contrast screen significantly improves the UST (Ultra Short Throw) projector image: the unique, multi-layered screen design visibly enhances the black level and effectively minimises the “grey haze” caused by ambient light in the room. Ambient light is actively deflected away from or absorbed by the surface , ensuring a high-contrast image is visible even under residual light conditions (lamps or daylight). You will be delighted and able to enjoy an unprecedented screen size as a TV replacement. This also saves costs, e.g. on a separate TV.

Our new “micron scale black grid” UST contrast screen is ideally suited to all current (Full HD & 4K) and future projectors with resolutions up to 8K thanks to its special screen structure. Particularly noteworthy is the unrestricted viewing angle stability of up to 170 degrees, ensuring that all viewers on the sofa can enjoy a true big-screen TV experience without restriction.

With the new series, we continue to offer the tried-and-tested black – perfect for dedicated home cinema rooms – as well as a subtle white for the living room and meeting rooms, naturally at no extra cost. 

Our tried-and-tested cable tensioning system ensures the flatness essential for ultra-short-throw projection, without annoying creases at the edges. For even better tension across the entire surface, we have given the side tension tabs a concave cut. Excellent flatness will ensure undisturbed short-throw projection.

But that’s not all: we have extensively revised the screen coating and , using new material blends for the backing, achieved a unique softness in the fabric. This means that distracting horizontal stripes and marks from the winding shaft or the bonding of the lead-in and screen – which are visible in the projected image – don’t stand a chance.

celexon installation tips: For ease of use, our experts recommend a trigger connection. The necessary trigger is included in the box and can be connected to the 12V trigger port or USB-compatible ultra-short throw projector, so that the projection screen automatically raises when the projector starts and retracts when the projector is switched off.

Installation:

Our electric HomeCinema Plus tension projection screen can be installed safely, easily and quickly.
You have the choice: install the projection screen on your ceiling or on your wall.

With CLR ultra-short-throw projection on a roll-up projection screen, the projector is always positioned on your furniture in front of the screen, facing upwards. This is the only way to achieve the required effect and directional reflection for a good projection result.
