Digital name badges for modern businesses: The Joan ePaper badge

Are you looking for a professional way to simplify the management of staff ID cards and visitors? The Joan ePaper badge offers you a smart solution for digital name badges in businesses. Say goodbye to constantly having to reprint badges whenever staff change or there are typing errors. With this digital badge, you can issue new staff or event guests with a personalised badge featuring their name and photo in no time at all. Make your day-to-day office life easier with technology that cleverly combines identification and access control.

The benefits of the Joan ePaper badge at a glance:

• Crystal-clear ePaper technology: The four-inch display shows names and photos in black, white, red and yellow, just like a printed badge.
• Integrated access control via NFC: The built-in NXP MIFARE DESFire EV3 chip enables seamless communication with your existing access control system.
• Wireless Bluetooth 5.1 updates: Conveniently update the displayed information remotely via the central Joan Dashboard.
• Flexible image storage: Save up to six different layouts on a single badge to switch between different designs in a flash whenever needed.

Brilliant display thanks to modern e-paper technology

Experience display quality that is every bit as good as traditional printing. With a resolution of 528 by 768 pixels, the Joan ePaper badge’s four-inch display delivers a crystal-clear representation of names, company logos and staff photos. By using the four colours – black, white, red and yellow – different departments or visitor groups can be clearly distinguished from one another. This visual organisation helps your reception staff and employees to find their way around the building quickly. The display remains easy to read at all times and blends professionally into your company’s corporate identity.

Seamless integration into your visitor management system

Make the reception process for guests and new staff significantly more efficient. Via the intuitive Joan Dashboard, you can manage all ID cards centrally and assign them via the network. The integrated Bluetooth 5.1 technology ensures that the displayed data is updated quickly within range. You can import guest data in advance or register walk-in visitors directly at the reception terminal. The digital name badge adapts flexibly to the situation at hand, as you can save up to six layouts on the device and switch seamlessly between different views. This saves you valuable time when preparing for meetings and allows you to organise your visitor flows smoothly.

Smart access control with secure NFC connectivity

Simplify the process of equipping your workforce with a multifunctional ID badge. The Joan ePaper badge features an integrated NXP MIFARE DESFire EV3 chip. This NFC chip enables direct communication with your existing access control system, whilst the built-in battery, with a capacity of 100 milliampere-hours, supports around 700 updates. Your staff therefore only need a single ID card for visual identification and to open doors in the office building. Charging is convenient via standard Qi chargers, with a red LED indicator reliably signalling the charging process. This smart combination of visual display and physical access control brings noticeable structure to your day-to-day office routine.

Why the Joan ePaper badge is the ideal choice for your business

With the Joan ePaper badge, you combine visual identification and smart access control in one digital name badge. This combination significantly reduces the administrative burden at events, at reception and in HR, whilst the high-resolution display and wireless management offer maximum flexibility in day-to-day operations.
