Bring the stadium into your living room: experience the real stadium atmosphere in the comfort of your own home
Cheers, excitement, goosebumps – with a screen, your home becomes the perfect place to enjoy unforgettable football moments during the World Cup.
When the football World Cup is on, the living room quickly turns into a private fan curve. With a projector and the right projection screen , you can experience every game much larger, more immersive and closer to the stadium than on a classic TV. Whether it's a compact home cinema setup in the living room, flexible projection in the hobby room or a large picture for the next football party: with a projector, projection screen and audio components, you can put together exactly the right bundle to suit your room, your seating distance and your requirements.
Type of room: What brightness for what lighting conditions?
Resolution of the projector: 4K or Full HD
Short throw and ultra-short throw projectors: immersive and large images over a short distance
Short throw and ultra-short throw projectors are particularly practical when there is little space between the projector and the projection screen. While short throw projectors produce a large image even from a short distance, ultra-short throw projectors are usually positioned directly in front of the projection screen or wall. This makes them ideal for living rooms, smaller rooms or setups where no projector needs to be placed in the centre of the room.
The advantages of short throw and ultra-short throw projectors at a glance:
- Large image at a short distance: ideal when only a short distance between the projector and projection screen is possible.
- Living room-friendly installation: Ultra-short throw projectors can often be placed directly on a lowboard.
- Less shadows cast: As the projector is close to the projection surface, no one walks through the image as quickly.
- Flexible integration: Particularly suitable for living rooms, smaller rooms, gaming set-ups or spontaneous football evenings.
- TV alternative with cinema effect: Large screen diagonals provide a much more immersive experience than classic televisions.
- Tidy setup: No projectors in the middle of the room and no need for elaborate ceiling mounting.
- Ideal with a suitable projection screen: For the best image quality, a special UST or ALR screen is recommended for ultra-short throw projectors.
- Precise alignment is important: Small shifts can affect the image, so the projector should be positioned carefully.

Projectors with standard projection distance: flexible, powerful and ideal for large images
The advantages of projectors with standard projection distance at a glance:
- Ideal for larger rooms: perfect if there is sufficient distance between the projector and projection screen.
- Flexible image sizes: Depending on the model and projection distance, different screen sizes can be realised.
- Very suitable for large projection screens: Particularly exciting for home cinema, hobby room or larger football evenings.
- Great value for money: Often a large selection of models with different brightness levels, resolutions and features.
- Ceiling mounting possible: The projector can be permanently installed and remains cleanly aligned.
- Free placement in the room: Depending on the zoom, lens-shift and installation area, the projector can be flexibly integrated.
- Important when planning: The projection distance must match the desired image size and projection screens.
- Clean alignment is crucial: Keystone correction, zoom and lens-shift can help, but are no substitute for the most accurate possible basic positioning.

Image size & projection distance simply explained
Every projector has a defined projection area in which it can produce certain image sizes. This depends on the so-called throw ratio (projection ratio). For customers, a simple orientation is sufficient:
- More distance = larger image
- Less distance = smaller image
Choose the right projection screens: Size, mounting and spatial effect
This should be taken into account when selecting a screen:
- Suitable inch size: The screen diagonal should match the size of the room and the seating distance.
- Comfortable viewing distance: In smaller rooms, more compact screen sizes make sense so that the entire playing field remains easily visible.
- Larger projection screens for larger rooms: In living rooms, hobby rooms or open-plan living areas, the projection screen may be correspondingly larger.
- Consider the type of projector: A particularly flat projection screen is recommended for ultra-short throw projectors, ideally a suitable UST or ALR screen.
- Plan the installation in advance: Ceiling, wall, floor or mobile use should match the room situation and the desired set-up.
- Image effect in the room: The better the screen, projection screen and seating position are matched to each other, the more intense the World Cup experience will be.
Find the right canvas size for your home
The optimum screen size depends above all on the distance between the seats and the space available in the room. This is because the desired cinema feeling can only be achieved if the picture size and distance are in harmony - without the picture appearing too small or details being lost.
As a rule of thumb, the seating distance should be around 1.5 to 2.5 times the width of the picture. At a distance of around 3 metres, for example, a projection screen of around 100 to 120 inches is ideal for an intense football experience.
The picture format also plays a role. For sports broadcasts and classic content, the 16:9 format is the best choice as it reflects the standard of modern broadcasts and makes optimum use of the image.
Which screen type suits your setup?
The perfect stadium sound: soundbars and subwoofers for the perfect World Cup backdrop
For the ultimate stadium feeling, your private fan curve needs an acoustic upgrade. With our perfectly coordinated selection of soundbars and subwoofers, you can bring the sound of the World Cup straight into your home.
Soundbars - compact, elegant and powerful
- Crystal clear commentary: Voice reproduction is massively optimised. This means you always understand the match commentator perfectly, even with loud fan chants in the background.
- Immersive experience: Modern soundbars support technologies such as Dolby Atmos. This distributes the sound three-dimensionally throughout the room and gives you the feeling of sitting in the middle of the fan block.
- Smart versatility: After the final whistle, the soundbar shines just as much with Hollywood blockbusters, gaming or as a speaker for the victory party afterwards
Subwoofer - feel the energy of the stadium
- Full power with every goal: When the fans in the stadium are jumping or a powerful shot on goal makes the crowd cheer, the subwoofer ensures that you physically feel the bass in the room.
- Complete sound image: A subwoofer complements your soundbar perfectly by doing the heavy lifting for the low tones. The result is a harmonious, powerful sound that effortlessly fills even larger rooms.
Just a few steps to stadium sound: your connections option endline
- Wired: The connection is best made via HDMI cable (via the eARC/ARC connection of your projector or signal source) or via an optical digital cable. This guarantees absolutely synchronised image and sound transmission without delays.
- Wireless: Many soundbars support Bluetooth. This allows you to connect them directly to your streaming stick, receiver or smartphone without any visible cables. Incidentally, the external subwoofer in modern sets usually connects to the soundbar completely automatically via radio - so all you have to do is connect it to the power supply
