DLP® technology
DLP (Digital Light Processing) is a projection technology developed by Texas Instruments (TI). At the heart of this technology is the DMD (Digital Micromirror Device). The DMD consists of an array of micromirrors, each of which represents a pixel. For example, a DLP projector or rear-projection screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels (HD resolution) has 2 million tiny mirrors. Each individual mirror can be tilted electronically. This allows, for example, the control of multi-coloured light.
HDMI
HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is a lossless, fully digital audio/video interface for A/V devices such as set-top boxes, DVD players, A/V receivers and playback devices such as digital projectors and digital televisions (DTV). HDMI is backwards compatible with DVI 1.0 and supports HDCP.
