EXT3-21-XR-TR – High-performance HDBaseT 3.0 extender for 4K60Hz transmissions
The EXT3-21-XR-TR is a flexible and powerful extended-range HDBaseT 3.0 extender that enables seamless transmission of 4K60Hz (4:4:4) HDMI, USB, Ethernet, RS-232 and IR signals over twisted pair. The device can be flexibly configured as a transmitter or receiver and offers outstanding signal extension solutions for professional applications in meeting rooms, conference rooms and AV installations.
Key features:
1. 4K60Hz signal transmission via HDBaseT 3.0
EXT3-21-XR-TR converts HDMI, USB, Ethernet, RS-232 and IR signals into HDBaseT signals, enabling uncompressed video transmission over CAT copper cables at a range of up to 100 metres. The device supports video resolutions up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4).
2. Hybrid meeting and collaborative USB switching
For hybrid meetings, the device supports switching between AV and USB host inputs. This allows content to be shared with both in-room and online participants. The active USB 3.2 host can be connected at the sender or receiver end, and USB 2.0 signals are extended and switched between USB devices (cameras, microphones, HID devices).
3. HDMI mirroring and auto-switching
The device features HDMI mirroring, where the HDMI input signal is mirrored to the loop output. This allows a local monitor or an additional device to be connected in a daisy chain configuration. It also supports auto-switching to automatically play the signal from the last connected source.
4. Multichannel audio transmission & audio de-embedding
The EXT3-21-XR-TR supports up to 32 channels of uncompressed audio signals for surround sound and enables the de-embedding of digital audio signals for simultaneous playback on a local audio system and AV devices.
5. Integrated control gateway
The extender includes a smart control gateway for IP-based remote control of AV equipment, motorised projector screens and other peripherals via CEC, RS-232, IR, I/O or relay. This eliminates the need for external control gateways, reducing installation complexity.
6. Flexible installation
The device offers numerous options for flexible installation, including bidirectional PoE power supply over HDBaseT or LAN. The fanless MegaTOOLS™ enclosure can be installed on the ceiling, under the table, or in a rack.
7. Additional extensions
- Ethernet extension: data is transmitted bidirectionally at up to 1 Gbit/s.
- RS-232 and IR extension: data transmission and device control in both directions.
- Secure operation: IT-compliant 802.1x authentication for secure LAN communication.
