Code of conduct of the visunext Group

The visunext Group is one of the leading providers of home cinema and presentation technology in Europe. With a broad product portfolio, strong brand partnerships, and a growing customer base in more than 25 countries, we bear a special responsibility – for our employees, our business partners, our environment, and society. Our Code of Conduct expresses our self-understanding and establishes the ethical, social, and ecological standards that we consider binding in our supply chain. It is an integral part of every business relationship with the visunext Group.

The requirements of this code are based on internationally recognized standards, particularly the core labor standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations Global Compact, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG).

Compliance with Laws and Legal Conformity

We expect our suppliers to fully comply with all applicable legal provisions at both national and international levels. This includes, in particular, regulations on occupational safety, product safety, environmental protection, export control, and compliance with tax laws. Violations of applicable law cannot be tolerated and may result in the immediate termination of the collaboration.

Respect for Human Rights

The visunext Group is committed to respecting human rights in all areas of the value chain. Our suppliers are required to conduct their business activities in accordance with internationally recognized human rights standards

In particular, we expect:
  • The complete rejection of any form of child labor, forced labor, or modern slavery. The definitions of the ILO conventions and the LkSG are decisive in this regard.
  • Fair and dignified working conditions, including safe working environments, adequate remuneration, and regulated working hours.
  • A corporate culture free from discrimination. Decisions regarding hiring, promotion, and compensation must be based on transparent, performance-related criteria.
  • The protection of indigenous peoples and local communities from illegal expropriation, displacement, or environmental destruction.
  • The establishment of transparent, accessible, and confidential complaint mechanisms for employees and external stakeholders.

Suppliers must systematically identify human rights risks, develop appropriate remedial measures, and cooperate with the visunext Group in the event of violations.

Labor and Social Standards

We expect our partners to consistently implement social minimum standards in accordance with the ILO core labor standards.

These include, in particular:
  • The explicit prohibition of child and forced labor.
  • The recognition of the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining – regardless of national restrictions.
  • The assurance of fair wages that meet at least the legal or industry-standard minimum requirements.
  • Compliance with legally regulated working hours, breaks, and rest periods.
  • The provision of transparent and understandable employment contracts.
  • The active promotion of diversity, equality, and inclusion within the company.

Occupational Health and Safety

The safety, health, and well-being of all employees are non-negotiable for us. Suppliers must comply with all relevant occupational health and safety regulations and take proactive measures to minimize risks.

Expected minimum standards:
  • Systematic risk assessments and the implementation of technical, organizational, and personal protective measures.
  • Regular training on occupational safety, emergency behavior, and first aid – preferably in the employees' native language.
  • Access to clean drinking water, sanitary facilities, break rooms, and, if necessary, sleeping quarters.
  • Special protective measures for vulnerable groups (e.g., pregnant women, young people, people with disabilities).
  • Establishment of reporting systems for safety-related incidents and continuous improvement processes.

Environmental and Climate Protection

As a company with global responsibility, the protection of the environment is a central concern for us. Our suppliers are urged to minimize their ecological footprint and pursue resource-saving, climate-conscious business practices.

We expect, among other things:
  • Efficient use of energy, water, and raw materials through modern technologies and processes.
  • Avoidance and reduction of emissions as well as the implementation of climate protection strategies.
  • Compliance with legal requirements for the storage, use, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous substances.
  • Implementation of responsible waste management with a focus on avoidance, reuse, and recycling.
  • Protection of local ecosystems and biodiversity.
  • The application of certified environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and transparent reporting upon request.

Ethical Business Conduct

Integrity, transparency, and lawful behavior form the basis for a trusting collaboration.

Binding requirements:
  • Zero tolerance for bribery, the granting and acceptance of advantages.
  • Avoidance and disclosure of potential conflicts of interest.
  • Compliance with all competition and antitrust regulations.
  • Active combating of money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • Protection of personal data and confidential information in accordance with applicable data protection laws, particularly the GDPR.
  • Transparent documentation of relevant processes and cooperation in the event of investigations or audits.

Protection of Intellectual Property and Confidential Information

Information, technologies, and intellectual property exchanged in the course of collaboration must be used with the utmost care and solely within the contractually defined framework. Disclosure to third parties without explicit consent is prohibited.

Implementation, Control, and Evidence

Compliance with this Code of Conduct is a prerequisite for any collaboration with the visunext Group. Suppliers are required to implement appropriate policies, procedures, and responsibilities for enforcement. We reserve the right to conduct random checks, audits, or document reviews, or to request evidence.

Sanctions and Remedial Measures

Violations of this Code of Conduct may lead to warnings, supplier evaluations, contractual sanctions, or even termination of the business relationship, depending on the severity. However, the visunext Group primarily relies on dialogue, transparency, and constructive cooperation to rectify deficiencies.

Contact Persons and Complaints

Suppliers can get in touch with their responsible contact person at visunext at any time if they have any questions or uncertainties. A confidential and protected reporting channel is available for employees to report complaints or indications of violations. The protection of whistleblowers is guaranteed in all cases.
