When it comes to finding a suitable headset for the office or home office, you are often faced with a huge selection of brands and models. Jabra is one of the few suppliers where you are sure to make the right choice. This is because every Jabra product is designed to meet the needs of the user.

For use in an office environment or at the private workplace, Jabra introduces two product series: Jabra Evolve2 and Jabra Engage.

The Jabra Evolve/Evolve2 series is aimed at all those who use UC platforms (Unified Communication) on a daily or frequent basis and rely on communication via video conferencing software (Zoom, Meet, MS Teams, etc.). The headsets of the Evolve/Evolve2 series are perfectly designed for hybrid working.

The Jabra Engage Series has been optimised for use primarily in call centres or support hotlines . The series is aimed at users who access both a landline phone and other devices such as tablets and laptops in parallel. Audio quality

The bandwidth of most Jabra headsets when listening to music is approximately in the range of 20 Hz to 20,000 kHz. This is a typical bandwidth for the human ear, in which all frequencies can be perceived.

The bandwidth for speech reproduction is somewhat smaller. Here, a frequency range of about 150 Hz to 6800 kHz is covered. A small bandwidth is also typical for microphones. On the one hand, this is due to the construction of the microphones and, on the other hand, because very low and high frequencies are filtered out in order to better emphasise the speech frequency range. Here, 150 Hz to 6800 kHzare also typical.

Wearing comfort

For optimal wearing comfort, Jabra offers headsets in different wearing styles or different headphone designs. These include in-ear, on-ear and over-ear models. For use in the office or home office, on-ear and over-ear models are ideal.

On-ear models rest on the ear, while over-ear models completely enclose the ear. Ear-enclosing headphones are therefore more suitable for those who need maximum passive noise isolation. In combination with ANC (Active Noise Canceling), this model gives you the best shielding during phone calls or when listening to music. On-ear headsets from the Jabra Engage series are also available in mono or stereo versions. Choose the latter if you need a headset for simultaneous on- and offline communication.

Compatibility

Jabra attaches great importance to maximum compatibility. That's why Jabra headsets are compatible with the best-known and most widely used video conferencing software solutions.

Connectivity

Jabra offers both wireless headsets and wired models. The range of Bluetooth connectivity is between 10 and 130 metres, depending on the model. Such wireless headsets are charged either via an included cable or via an optional base station.

Wired models have either a USB-A or a USB-C port. These models are ready to use thanks to plug-and-play connectivity.

All Jabra headsets comewith several convenient features .Some features, such as ANC (Active Noise Canceling), improve the quality of sound reproduction by filtering out external noise. Others, such as PeakStop, permanently protect your hearing from excessive volume levels.

Jabra SafeTone

SafeTone is the name Jabra uses to describe two features that protect your hearing over time. IntelliTone measures the volume of noise you are exposed to every day when using the headsets . The intelligent system then adjusts the volume so that the average noise exposure does not exceed the prescribed 85 dB. PeakStop eliminates sudden volume fluctuations that exceed 118 dB . This not only makes phone calls and conversations more pleasant, but also protects your hearing from excessive volume levels.

Jabra Active Noise Canceling

Jabra Active Noise Canceling (ANC) is the highlight of every Jabra headset. The smart system uses one or more built-in microphones to measure external noise and filters it out using phase shifting. With the free Jabra Direct app, you can set the Jabra ANC individually for every working environment at any time.

Jabra Hear-through

Hear-through is the counterpart to ANC. It amplifies the volume of the ambient noise around you. This is always useful when, for example, you want to communicate with your colleagues in the office without having to take off your headphones or headset. Hear-through can be switched on at will.

Jabra BusyLight

Jabra BusyLight is a visual cue in the form of an LED indicator on the earpiece of Jabra headsets. Whenever you are busy, for example on a phone call or participating in a video conference, the indicator lights up red. This makes it easier for your colleagues or outsiders to see that you are busy and do not want to be disturbed.

Jabra handsfree kits for the office

With the Jabra Speak series , Jabra introduces an office speaker phone that can be perfectly integrated into any huddle room or meeting room. The compact housing of the Speak devices contains state-of-the-art technology for modern business communication.

Jabra Speak handsfree devices are compatible with almost all popular UC (Unified Communication) platforms: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and many more. The Speak modules are easily connected via Bluetooth or cable to laptops, tablets or even landline phones.

The bandwidth for speech reproduction is somewhat smaller. Here, a frequency range of about 150 Hz to 6800 kHz is covered. Jabra Speak Series: These are the differences

To help you quickly find the right Jabra Speak, we've compiled the top features of individual Speak handsfree kits.

The biggest difference is the maximum number of meeting participants that can take part in a meeting at the same time in one place with the help of a Speak speakerphone.

The Jabra Speak 810 has 15 participants and the Jabra Speak 750 and Jabra Speak 710 have six participants each. This makes them best suited for medium-sized conference and meeting rooms.

All three models are equipped with omnidirectional 360° microphones, whereby the 810 model also uses ZoomTalk microphone technology. This significantly improves the audio quality of conversations.

The Jabra Speak 510 and Jabra Speak 410 models are designed for smaller groups of up to four people. Therefore, we recommend them for use in huddle rooms or smaller office and meeting rooms.

All models in the Speak series are plug & play devices that can be connected to tablets, laptops and smartphones via Bluetooth. The exception is the entry-level Jabra Speak 410, which connects to devices via USB.

Furthermore, all models are compatible with most UC platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams and many more.

Jabra PanaCast 50

Jabra PanaCast 50 is the all-in-one video conferencing solution. Designed as a video soundbar, the video conferencing system combines both video and audio components.

The PanaCast 50 has a multi-camera with 4K UHD image resolution and a panoramic field of view of 180°. This ensures an attractive image and that all meeting participants are visible at all times. By seamlessly merging three individual camera views, the overall image remains largely free of strong perspective distortions.

The PanaCast 50 is the only one of the three PanaCast cameras to have powerful built-in speakers and microphones. Thus, the installation of a single unit is sufficient to start professional videoconferencing. We recommend the PanaCast 50 video conferencing system for use in rooms up to 4.5 x 4.5 metres.

Jabra PanaCast

Jabra PanaCast is the compact video conferencing solution for small meeting and conference rooms. Unlike the PanaCast 50, this model has no speakers. On the other hand, this PanaCast model is significantly smaller, which allows for easy installation in any room. For audio output, we recommend the hands-free solutions of the Jabra Speak series.

Just like the PanaCast 50, PanaCast is equipped with a multi-camera with 4K UHD image resolution and a panoramic field of view of 180°.

The Jabra Intelligent Zoom feature is also used here: this detects all participants in the room and adjusts the image section accordingly.

Jabra PanaCast 20

Jabra PanaCast 20 is the personal video solution/webcam. The design here is based on classic webcams. Accordingly, the use of the Jabra PanaCast 20 is recommended for the personal workplace in an office or home office.

Jabra PanaCast 20 features a 4K UHD camera with incredible detail. The intelligent light optimisation helps in poor lighting conditions. It adjusts the image so that the person in front of the camera is always well lit and easy to see.

The intelligent zoom feature is also on board with the Jabra PanaCast 20. This adjusts the image so that the image section is always optimally aligned with the speaker.

Picture-in-picture mode allows you to share a close-up in the main window while continuing your presentation in a smaller window.
