Projectors are becoming more affordable these days. A low-cost, entry level projector can be used for many applications including showing photos, powerpoint presentations or video projections in your own home. The image quality of an entry level projector compared to that of a home cinema projector is not quite as good, but of course, it has a much lower price. The main difference is usually the resolution: a low cost projector has an SVGA or XGA resolution, which is lower than the HD resolution that a good home cinema projector provides.
